Players of the Month – Creditinfo Iceland

They recently moved offices without disruption to their services and working day. They have moved to a lower floor in the same building so the address and contact information remains the same.  The recent growth and future development plans  require them to have a larger space, but the key reason for the move was to ensure everyone is together on the same floor, rather than spread over 2 floors as before and also to improve their working environment.

Players of the month: Credit Bureau Expansion Team

Credit Bureau ExpansionWe wanted to acknowledge the efforts of this newly formed team for getting their act together so quickly. In just a few months of being established, they have set up new effective processes and some rather efficient methods of communication in order to be able to put our credit bureau expansion plans into action.

In addition to their extensive knowledge & experience in their fields, is their proactive attitude and sense of accountability.  No one wants to let the team down, so everything smoothly moves along the process chain and they get the job done on time.  Equally, they all have a great sense of humour (some may call it weird!), but it obviously helps them to get on better and boosts them when facing more challenging times.  Oh yes, and let’s not forget, great leadership from Kiddi too!

Players of the month: Cape Verde

250e08d4-7586-4450-add2-16988a00dedcThis month saw the launch of the new office in Cape Verde.  As you know Dirce Varela recently joined the family as CEO.  For the launch, Creditinfo Cape Verde (CICV) held a 3 hour workshop at the  Auditório de Caixa Económica de Cabo Verde on the 15th July.

Dirce opened the launch with an introduction to Creditinfo and then we welcomed Mr. Carlos Burgo, the Governor of the Central Bank of Cape Verde www.bcv.cv and  Mr Amilcar Monteiro, the General Secretary of Câmara do Comércio Industria e Serviços de Sotavento (CCIS) www.cciss.cv.  Mr. Burgo described the role of the Central Bank in licensing and the supervision of credit bureaus and Mr. Monteiro spoke about the role of the credit bureau in the access to credit for SMEs and Microfinance.

Players of the Month: Samuel White & Paul Randall

This month we’d like to recognise Sam and Paul for all the air miles they have recently clocked up.

Seriously though, their jobs may sound very glamorous, travelling all over the globe to meet the different operational sites and share best practice within the Group and meeting new / potential clients etc.  The reality is, these guys can be getting out of bed at an unearthly hour, travelling for 20 hrs or more, delivering presentations having only had a few hours sleep, living out of a suitcase, arriving home in the middle of the night….. and don’t forget they are leaving their loved ones at home.

There are a number of other people within Creditinfo who equally travel a lot promoting Creditinfo around the globe and can equate with the trials and tribulations of travelling.  We’d like to thank you guys too, you know who you are!
However, as many of our operational sites have recently told us that they really appreciate a visit from Paul and Sam and the time they spend sharing their knowledge and experience, along with their input on various projects and tenders, we thought we’d give these guys a special mention this month.

Players of the Month: Tanzania and Malta

tanzaniaYou always remember your first!

malta teamwork winnersTeamwork pays off

Congratulations to Remy DamatoMelissa Pace Antonio Di Bari, for already breaking all records regarding the creation of D&B reports. Even with another month to go, they are already 10% up on last year in not only the number of reports but also on the total revenue. This is big indication on the quality and speed in which these reports are delivered by the team.  There has to be something said for their teamwork as they also won the bridge building contest at the last Values Seminar in Malta.

From the photo, we’d advise them not to swap their day jobs for construction!

Players of the month: Hákon Stefánsson and IBCH Ukraine

hakon - old picIndividual Player –  Hákon Stefánsson

Since the new laws on consumer credit were introduced in Iceland in October 2013, the  number of downloads of the Creditinfo Iceland Credit Report for Individuals have increased enormously.  It is now much harder for people in Iceland to get overdrafts, car loans and any kind  of consumer debt.  The positive aspects of the new law, is that those people with good credit scores will benefit from better interest rates on their loans.
This is excellent news for us too, as our products fit really well with the requirements of the new legislation. However, we are also developing new products specifically in accordance with those requirements. These products are designed to accelerate and simplify lending to individuals under the stringent conditions of the new legislation and to ensure security of transactions.

As such, our very own Beckham look alike, Hákon Stefánsson was on prime time TV in Iceland – you can watch the clip athttp://www.ruv.is/neytendamal/betri-vextir-fyrir-betri-pappira(starts at 14:48mins to 21mins).  You’ll see he looks particular relaxed in front of the camera, so we expect the call from SKY SPORTS to do a stand in for David will come soon.

Team Players – IBCH Ukrainejongauti-2

Jón Jóhannesson and the team in Ukraine have had an excellent month with more than an 80% increase in Sales and a massive 247% increase in EBITDA. If you still don’t know what EBITDA is, it’s how much profit a company makes with its present assets and its operations on the products it produces and sells.
