As Regional Director in Asia & The Middle East

John Roberts has joined the Creditinfo Group as Regional Director Asia & The Middle East. With a background spanning more than 30 years of business and leadership experience, John’s career embraces the communications and marketing sectors, and most recently, the financial industry in New Zealand and internationally.

For the past 10 years he has been Managing Director of Credit & Data Analytics company Veda International. His territory covered New Zealand, Singapore, Malaysia, Cambodia, Indonesia, Dubai, Saudi Arabia and developing markets.

He has held CEO roles with Saatchi & Saatchi in New Zealand, and was CEO/Regional Director for Saatchi & Saatchi Asia Pacific, based in Singapore for a number of years. Upon returning from Asia John joined MasterCard International as their Vice President of New Zealand, managing and developing MasterCard’s relationships with major financial organizations. He was instrumental in leading the lobbying effort to move New Zealand from negative credit reporting to a blend of negative & positive data reporting to keep the New Zealand in pace with the rest of the developed world. He has also worked with regulators in developing countries to assist with the development of relevant & workable credit reporting regulations.

His role is to develop Creditinfo’s market prescence in the Asia & Middle East region to compliment the companies dominant position in Europe & Africa.
