Meet Adamou Sambaré

Adamou Sambaré has been appointed as the Managing Director of Creditinfo VoLo in West Africa. As many of you know, Creditinfo was licensed by BCEAO, Central Bank, earlier this year to create a private credit bureau in 8 West African States.

Adamou will lead the startup in these 8 countries that have a combined population of 105.7 million people (as of 2014). No easy task this!

Adamou, native of Niger, graduated from École des Mines de Paris as, one of top universities from France, as an engineer specializing in IT. After a first job in research at a DEC lab in the south of France, and another one with an IT services company, he actually joined BCEAO. At the Central Bank of 8 Western African states, Adamou led some critical infrastructure projects like RTGS (payment systems). It was the time where he started working with our Michel Massain, who was on the RTGS’ supplier side. After BCEAO, Adamou worked as a consultant for the implementation of a few payments systems and banking projects in French speaking Africa, before moving to Orange in Niger, and then in Ivory Coast as CIO and then Quality and Shared Services Director.
